LAST DAY IN OSAKA AND HOME THE NEXT DAY
Our
hotel was very well placed to allow us to get around Osaka very easily
using the metro system and the travel card. Breakfast was included and
they catered for the western visitor with recognizable food. Just one
choice that got a bit boring but welcome all the same. For our last day
we walked around downtown Osaka. Just outside the hotel was a car park
with a novel way of ensuring that the car will not be stolen. There
are many makes and models in japan we don't have in Canada, mainly small
in stature.

The
shopping areas in Osaka shout one word "BUY". One of the main centres
runs along a canal, there are many canals. It is all hustle and bustle.
The famous moving crab at Kanidouraku Dotombori-Honten Restuarant
Lovely roof gardens
The mall had many restaurants and they all present their menu with very realistic looking food models
This little lass was enjoying some craft in the mall. Colours are dropped onto a water surface
Then a card is lowered onto the surface and voila!
Next day we took the train back to Kansai Airport and caught an Asiana flight to Seoul, South Korea
Airbus 330 - Asiana a 5 star airline
In
Seoul we connected with Air Canada - a 4 star airline - flight to
Vancouver in the new Boeing 788 Dreamliner. We finally reached home to
Comox after an active but fascinating time away.
